I was running around on the three wheeler today and it lost spark, I look down and the hole is stripped! My 200e has always had it plug changed with the same brand and type every time... am I screwed?

they sell a helicoil for spark plug holes, might have to pull the head though. I had a 70 with a stripped hole, tapped it for the larger 110 plug. Thought I was slick until a little shaving got stuck under the valve. Jim

Well, you are and aren't screwed. There are kits out there that are essentially a heli-coil for you plug hole. You'll have to hope you can vacuum all the metal chips out of the bore after doing it. I would use this as an excuse to do an overhaul. :naughty:

This thing already has scary power to me in 2nd gear... haha 40mph is too fast. For speed i trust my FL860 Odyssey, lol So a Helicoil?

So you were like riding and it blew out? Did you try to put it back in or a new plug in? I had an RM250 before that blew the plug right out the head. I was hittin 5th gear and it just died. Looked down and the plug was out, got home and I was able to put the plug right back in and it fired right up. Maybe It wasnt tightened up enough.

I tried to put it back in but half the threads in the hole are stipped clean, the other half are still there but i cant get down to them =\

Why not just look for another head? Seems 200 motors are plentiful. I might even have an extra laying around.

Yeah...so i told him a straight fast NO. Does anyone know the part number or what part I would need? Is it the cylinder or head? I cant find any pictures to help me out.
