I discovered a hole in one of my radiator hoses for this tri z I'm building. :( It's not all the way through yet but it's real close.

Is there anyway to repair this? I don't think I'd feel comfortable going out on the trail knowing this was like this.

These pics suck but it's the best I can do at the moment. I cannot afford OEM even if it was available so if it cannot be repainred somehow what size is the hose and where can I get something similiar? This is the hose on the right side of the motor behind the water pump that connects to the head.

Ya think some hi temp silicone would hold?

$10??? where the heck you ordering from? Bikebandit has it listed for $18. Then you gott pay shipping on top of that. Did I mention I was broke?

Maybe you could cut the bad spot out & splice in some sort of metal fitting with barbs on it. Might not look the best but it should work.

Just buy a joiner and cut it on the same spot of the gouge.

Or use one of Ronnie's inline coolers.

Hmm.. I got one of ronnie's inline coolers. But that's on the hose right next to this one. (the one that goes from the waterpump to the radiator) Does it matter which hose the cooler goes on?

This maybe the simple (and cheap) solution i was looking for! :naughty:

I think those hoses are discontinued, I know some of the 250R ones are. That being said, I'm running one on my flat tracker that has nothing but the cord holding it in the one place. If it were me Chris I'd just run it until you could afford a replacement.

chris, is that the hose that i sent with the engine? i didn't notice it. it doesn't look that bad, but you have some crappy pics! i think your overly cautious! lol

how about the hose from the yz250? don't they use about the same parts?

or just cut it and put a piece of aluminum tubing in it and put on 2 hose clamps.

    I'm not sure if the mexican chrome will hold up to long!

Yeah shawn.. that's the same hose. I think I did that when i put the motor in the frame. It ain't leakin yet.. but I'm not sure how long it's gonna last.

Not sure if a yz one will fit. Can I use the inline cooler that I already have without any problems? If not I know what those little pipe connector thingies are you guys are talkin bout. I'll see if I can find one of those some place.

Yeah just buy a new one if they're only 10 bucks.
