Hay guys I got a ? on pistons. I'm going to be spliting the cases on my 83 200x in the neer future ( new post ) to change the 3rd gear in it ( goes in and out of gear in 3rd gear ) so I thought I'd have the cylinder and head redone ( it smokes a little at start up then quits ). On ebay theres a shop that will do it and they give you a Shindy piston kit. Is this a good piston or not ? I don't know the diff between pistons. I had them do my 110 and they gave me a Armor Tech piston kit. Is there good and bad pistons. I'm not looking to mod it any. Should I ask for a diff piston ? Thanks for the help.

never heard of those, but i think wiseco is a pretty good piston. If you're going to be doing basic riding, those pistons are probably fine

the shindy is a decent piston along with wsm and such, I have used them for general rebuilds on non racing engines with good luck its about the same is putting a stock piston in.
