Thinking about putting the light kit from the R I bought recently on my duner. Just wondering if those rewound 200 watt stators have ANY adverse effects on overall performance or not. Anyone know? Electrical is by far my weakest area so I don't have any idea.

well it definatly wouldn't hurt performance...you would have to get better spark!!
i am not 100% sure on this but like 95!

i want one of them but for my airfooler, not sure if there is one for it tho?

I'm not sure it does anything for spark. Just increased output to the lights? Like I said, it's a weak area for me.

I'm not even sure exactly how the extra power is achieved but figured the extra wattage has to come at the expensive of something.

its the extra winds (& proper guage) that give it more juice, i know that for sure...i would try to make my own if my father (retired-Airplane electrician) knew the formula or exactly what it was called..... i guess it would be hard to know if they gave the spark stator more winds...you might beable to tell by just looking at the stock and after market side by side?

I have one on my shee.It seems to make it run hotter, and the lights are real dim until about 4000 rpm.I do not have the matching flywheel. So that is the reason for dim lights at low speeds. What ever the case,It is coming out this week.

This one has a lightened flywheel. Not sure if that would make up the difference or not?

I'd like to have these lights on my duner but not at the expense of any top end power.

it has no effect on power of the motor, just the power of the lights.

Sounds like your Duner is in for a couple changes. That lightened flywheel should improve your holeshots.

Man I need to move to Arizona, I want a duner.

0.15 of a hp gone if the coil is fully loaded...

the 200 watt stator will not affect the top end of your motor,it is not a moving part and it does not rob any power from your spark because they are two different coils..the lightened fly wheel is going to make your top end hit faster and harder but you will lose some of your bottom end as a result of the lesser weight.your going to be wide open anyways right:w00t: those lights are sweet.I wish I could get my tecate stator wound for more power.

My lights came from Ricky Stator. Not listed on the web site so you'd have to call.

Actually I think it should have been affect in in the subject but not in the message.

Will the stator affect performance?

Will replacing the stator have an effect?

I think that's right but I'm a moron. Dammit

Here's something I should have asked sooner. 85 and 86 250R stators are completely interchangeable right?

Hey lets say hypothetically speaking that I am getting a single 150 watt..

What can the stock stator take? Would it be wise to bump up stator wise? :D
