View Full Version : Will a '84 250r drop right in a 1982 250r?

I have a 1982 250r that I locked up the engine in and I'm trying to decide to rebuild it or not. I found a 1984 250r engine for sale.
But I am wondering if it will be an drop in engine, in a 1982 250r?

isn't the 84 water cooled, and the 82 air?

The 81-84 250r motors are air cooled. They started water cooled motors in 85.

Yea, the 84 was the last year for the air cooled.

Anyone know if it will the 84 250r will fit right in the 82 250r atc?
