hey
im trying to charge a battery off a 200E that sat in a heated garage all winter but was wound over until dead. I plugged it into my canadian tire charger and after about 15 minutes I herd bubbling so I wasnt sure if i should keep boosting it or not. I herd something about backing the yellow caps off so hydrogen gas doesnt build up then have an explosion. Is there any truth to this. If not tell me the proper way to do this.

pull the caps make sure the acid is to the top and charge at a 2 amp rate for several hours. check it periodicaly to be sure its not hot and boiling over. if it boils over on a 2 amp charge something is internaly wrong with battery and should be replaced

Alright, the acid is down below the line, is it safe to add water or should u get the proper acid, its only down about half an inch.

add distilled water.

if the battery gives you any trouble just get another one.

a weak battery is a pain in the butt
