Axle/bearing fit

Got some new rear bearings today,should I shim the axle so it is a tight fit in the bearings or leave it ? The axle is approx .005" smaller than the bearings but I can't see any wear on it.

might be the wrong bearing. there shoudl not really be any play in the bearing and axel fitment. Talk about viberation and stress fractures!

i don't think i'd worry about it, if it gets any tighter it will b a real pain to put on...thats an eighth of a millimeter (1/8mm) 0.125mm))
