After a total front to back rebuild and frame change, its finally ready for its maiden race. I have enough parts to build a trail machine so this one will be dedicated to the track. It wont look this nice for very long so I figured I better snap a few pics.

Mighty lame OTC sticker.

hmmm, thats one of the original sticker i had made up.tim's a o.g.- o.t.c. maniac.see,we let our ridin speak for it's self,no need for flashy stickers.that doesn't keep me from sticking a sticker on every possible inch of MY bike though, lol.

your comment was quite uncalled for,and rude.keep it to your self if you don't like something.everyone else like the bike,as do i.go get your self a black gas tank, and then report back for offical *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* smack, and introduction into the O.T.C.

Im not big on performance mods since very few people can ride a 250cc 2 stroke to its full potential, and Im also on a mission to not intimidate potential newcomers into believing they need to spend lots of money to be competitive.

I have a Works Quadstar rear shock, Progressive wound front springs from Dennis Kirk, DG pipe, Boysen Power reeds, Cylinder is .020" overbore with Wiseco piston, on its 1st replacement sleeve. Jug underwent some minor porting when Wiseco resleeved it. Blue Marble Oil powered at 50:1. Seatcover by the finest custom seat covers in the world - the Mosh's!

Very nice, too nice Hey where did you get that number plate?
Number plate is a piece of plastic packing foam sprayed with Dollar General black paint. It wont last.

OEM Yamaha

Partially inspired by former Yamaha riding turncoats!:D

What kid of tires are those on the rear?

Turf Tamers 18x9.5-8 on ITP rims.

Mighty lame OTC sticker.

Its amusing watching you bash a group of highly respected riders whose boots you are not worthy to clean the mud from. OTC does not just own 3 wheeled motocross. OTC IS 3 wheeled motocross!

I wouldnt worry too much about the sticker. Youl'll never get close enough to read it.

Hmm, maybe its just me, (or I give everyone a chance), but it sounds like maybe he was refering to the OTC sticker as not being very flashy, and boring?? Who knows.
Tim very well done man. It looks like she is ready to hit the tracks in style.

LMFAO!

I guess sarcasm doesn't run through the internet so well. I wasn't saying the OTC can't ride for *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* nor was I saying that sticker was shitily designed.

But thanks all for knocking on me and my trike :D

As for what Brandon said, I don't WANT to be in the OTC. Mainly because I live in PA. Doing that is just as bad as putting a Chevy sticker on your Ford.

I can't read stickers on your REAR fender when I'm all the way up FRONT.

And also for the records, I'm not saying I'm better a better rider than any of you. I was just playing with ya and saying that the OTC sticker ruins the bike. (Which it doesn't, just a joke)

Maybe my red blue and black 250r isn't the prettiest, oh well I don't mind at all. I don't have cash coming out my ass to put into the looks of my trike.

Thanks all.

Mike

Sorry I took it the wrong way. We love a good race on the track, just not much into armchair racing. :)
The only requirment for OTC "membership" is to show up and ride!

I have Honda 250x hubs which gives it a little bit, and the ITP rims are offset 3+5.5 so Ive gained maybe 6 inches overall. Still not near as wide as Brandon's I dont think, but about where I want it for the track.

You can invest all the money you want in that. It still is a yamaha! :)
Now my project YAMATHUMPER is underway!

BTW - looks good man. Fantastic job. The above was not meant to be rude! :)

Oh yeah?! well Im an unofficial member of the OTC, since i have more OTC clothing then all of them!! lol (my college is Ohio Tech. College (OTC)) lol unfortunately my otc uniform cost a little more than most (70$ a shirt)... but i do have two sweet green shirts (uniform) that are green with OTC written on them and all the OTC hats with racing strips..(being a school for motor heads) maybe I'll come represent the Ohio Trike crew at TF!! lol wear my uniform.

We will be there. Im not sure if TimJr's 200X will be back together by then. Parts are supposed to get here this week, so he may not be running the trike class. I made a few minor tweaks on mine, and shoud be ready to go, running two classes again.

Nice work on the Z tim.

So what year 250x hubs work on the tri z axle Tim? I take it that's a 4/110 bolt pattern then? About how much legnth do the hubs themselves give? I really don't understant that offset rim thing.

i thought they were 400ex hubs?sorry for misleading info.i know we put 400ex hubs on derricks tri-z.made a big difference too.any year 400ex hub should work.

on the offset rim deal.you figure your offset by measuring from the part of the wheel the studs go through,to the outside lip.on most factory rims,i think they are 3-5.for example, early 200x,like 83-85,are a centerd rim,not offset.86-87 200x,have a 3-5 offset.quad front rims are a great example.if you flip them around, you notice how deep the one side is,to protect the rotors and such.thats the offset.

No, I lost it in the 2nd moto! I noticed when I went to load it. I put the original back on, and drilled the bolt and cotter pinned it! I also found a spare to carry.

250x and 400EX hubs at a glance are identical. Maybe minor differences. I found some new 400EX ones for TimJrs 200X. Not as much for width as for the longer studs so he can run any of my rims. They add maybe and inch to each side. For rim offset, think of this as sideview of your rim. The vertical line in the middle is where your hub bolts to:

This would be a rim with no offset, like a 200X stocker.

]--l--[ Offset would be 4+4 on an 8" wide rim.

Offset Rim

]---l-[ Offset would be 3+5 on 8" rim.

Sometimes stock rims are offset, with the offset inward, and you can gain width just by flipping them around. This is more common with quad front rims.
