I've been doing a restoration on my 86 Z and needed a new shifter. I took a look at bikebandit but it cost $46.09 for the stock one. I thought there has to be some other aftermarket shifter that will work. I know the banshee will work but you have to bend it a little and it's way longer. So I went to my local bike shop and with the old shifter in hand matched up one that looked 99% like the stock one. The shifter mounted up perfect, fit right into the splines and lined up just like the stock one. It was a Moose shifter for a Yamaha BEARTRACKER 1999 to 2002 for $28.95.
