all you should have to do is change the mounting brackets to match the machine(200x =200x bracket)
they are simple to change but they are usally froze up and hard to break free if you use heat you will burn the rubber "bushings" up... sometimes they are hard to find.
i have gone as far as useing front calipers from a 200x on the rear of my 250r!!! :!:

yeah, i have 2 front brakes on my 200x,,, one in the front + one in the back. works great + no block off plate to screw with.
but doug don't have anything to work with as far as mounts or,,, well he has a brake disc.
mudduck14843,,, i suppose i could do up a custom mount to make calipers from 83-85 200x work but as far as take off's from one machine to the other,,, i don't think it's a simple bolt on proceedure.
heck, i am sure i could get a caliper from a fiat 850 spider to work on his r but it hardly be a "will fit" type of thing. i am thinking there is a bunch of custom bracket making ahead of us. the rest is all a piece of cake,,, hose + resorvore/master clyinder.

john

I wished you 2 lived closer. I have many different brake brackets ( none for the 250r's though ) and we could retro fit one on there.

Unless you care to do a road trip next Saturday morning. I could have him up and stopping in no time. :P ;)
