ytm 200 no start

i'm working on a 84 yamaha ytm 200e.starts like a champ with the recoil.just
got the starter working.but it wont start useing it.the batt is from my artic cat
650.and it will start that.

Are you saying that the electric starter turns the motor over too slowly to start or does the starter motor not even turn the motor over?
