What is the stock main jet size?

I pulled a 400 off of my carb and can not find on the net or on the forum the main jet sizes... I'd appreciate the help!

Happy trails!

Well on 86 models the stock main is #320 and pilot is #35. The stock needle setting is the center groove. #400 sounds pretty far off the mark. Hope this helps out.

Did I say a million? Do you guys accept money order?

I currently have a 400 in mine. I am looking to start it up soon (Just ported-polished it and shaved a bit off the head). I heard Yamaha generally runs their engines rich from the factory.

Would it be safe to just use the 470 for break-in? I was thinking of keeping the stock carb on it with the 470 and adjust the mixture instead of jetting, that is, until i get the jet kit in the mail.

The other mod is a a DG exhaust.
