Hi, just picked this 86 250R up last night from the original owner. Runs good, but i think i need to clean the carb. Not sure about the front tire, seems to steer ¨heavy¨ so i think i will try to find another one. I also ordered a new decal set from Harlan Lysne. And olso, the mixture screw on the carb, how many turns out from all the way in?

Thats a pretty good looking R. With the carb, you should get yourself a manual. Dammit has a link on here for downloading one, you just need to throw him a little cash to help him host the site their on.

Good luck!

According to the Honda manual....the air screw should be 2 1/4 turns out.
I would start at 1 1/2 turns out, and adjust it from there to get a good idle and response off idle. Make sure your idle speed is about right before you start adjusting the air screw too much, because idle speed adjusts off the choke knob.
