I have a 185s rear axle (1982??) that has 4 lugs that I'm using for a project but it is to narrow. So, I just picked up a 200x
(1985??) plus 5" rear axle and it has the same cheesy sheet metal hubs like the 185. I'm worried about these hubs failing. Does the 300ex rear hub work on the 200x axles? Plus I would like to get the extra 1" offset from the 300ex hubs.
I've done some seaarching and I've seen both "yes they do" and "no they don't". Can someone bust this myth?
I do know the lug patterns are different 4/130 and 4/110 but are the splines the same?
