I have noticed something on my 350x that has me wondering whats going on. When I first start it, its fairly easy to kick.............I'm about 260 lbs so I wouldn't expect it to take a lot. After riding for a while and getting the engine good and warm it is insanely hard to kick. If I don't get it just right it will just stand me right up with out the kick starter moving at all. Is the lower compression when cold normal, or could this be indicative of some problem? Also, I don't have a decompression cable.

I don't have a decompression cable.

That is one of the most need things on a 350x. Put a new cable on and you will wonder why you didn't do it before.

It's normal for it to have more compression when it warm. Mine are the same way. How ever the decompression cable allows my 150lbs to start it up cold or hot with out a problem.

thanks, that puts my mind at ease a little more. I was a lot more worried about the lower initial compression than it being hard to kick when warm.

My compression release allows my 100 lb body to start my 350X.
