That's not a bad price on the conversion kit. I honestly would have figured them costing another $800 - $1000. Keep us posted on the kits and their availability.

You could buy a CLEAN 250R for that. Waste of money IMO

well, how easy is it to find a 250r, and especially parts for one, these bikes will be easy to get parts for, and easy to find in the long run you save money. plus it has newer technology so it would make it a little easier to show up those golf cart riders. team-red how big are the engines in those bikes

very easy! there are tons of 250r's on ebay all day long and plenty of parts to build one piece by piece.

oh, oops sorry bout that lol. but still i think a new trike would be nice, it means more competition and maybe some new trike riders ( which could be bad.....)

ok heres a better one how many 125's had FULL SUSPENSION and HYDRAULIC BRAKES!!!

So basically those Xtreme trikes are a pitbike with a thicker front tire and a rear quad-type axle/swingarm? Typical 125cc 4-speed engine?

thats wat it seems, a good idea would be to have a slightly bigger engine, maybe 200. i have ridden xtreme pit bikes though and they are good quality bikes, hopefully the trike will follow suit :)

Id buy one used and then buy the kit new. ive seen 1-2 year old extrereme pit bikes for 800-900 bucks used.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
Buy a used one cheap and get the kit. Done that way, it's a heckuva a deal in my book. No it's not an R, but it's an interesting oddity at worst.....and a 3-wheeler....how can that be a terrible thing?
I've already taken 3 orders for one from some of my boys.

400 sound good for the kit. What late model extreme bikes will it work with? I haven't seen any word on the other post and thought this topic went cold. Nice to see a glimmer of hope still.

ok they said there will be two kits...one for the PitPro and one for the Typhoon ...the Typhoon kit will be around 400 bux and the Pitpro kit will prolly be around 800 because it includes a swingarm axle and stuff plus the front end...ill kno more SOON im calling again today

$800 to convert a quads rear end onto a bike? $400 to convert a bike front end onto a quad. their quads costs like $2500 dont it? their bikes costs like $2000 dont they? either way you like at $3000 for a mini trike......holey crap is all i think, it would be cheaper to build to buy you own used CRF50 or XR50, rig a rear end and just buy fender from them and maybe a lifan bigbore engine or somthing wouldnt it?

What I wanna know is how are they making a quad into a threewheeler with a kit? Do you have to do fab work at home? Or is the frame modular (which would be strange and yet somehow convenient...)?
team-red-rider
04-19-2007, 01:08 PM
as far as i kno its a modular frame...its a converted pit pro....u cut a few tubes off then you have a trike frame!! i think he said its 3 bars u chop off
team-red-rider
04-19-2007, 03:41 PM
hey guys just talked with Mr. Lynch at Xtreme he said as of RIGHT NOW the parts needed to convert the pit pro ARE AVAILABLE it will cost from 700-800 dollars for the pit pro conversion ..thats fenders swingarm axle etc.

i would'nt expect many to be sold right now unless we all get $10,000 raises this year. seems to much for alot of people.
team-red-rider
04-19-2007, 04:27 PM
thats not really that expensive! it will work on MOST cheap xr50 based pit bikes!! and REAL xr50 's so think a NEW HONDA ATC =]

04-19-2007, 08:12 PM
well all i can say is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
they are not a fullsize adlut trike ,with substandard suspension and a 125 cc fourstroke you won't be showing any quads up with that,,, not even a trx90!!!!
so don't get so excited,,, unless you got hotshot kids to ride it!!!
team-red-rider
04-19-2007, 08:38 PM
im pretty sure it would kill a trx 90 hahahha

04-19-2007, 09:49 PM
and you could always put another engine in there, hey stephen, maybe my old 200 would go nicely in one of those, if you get the trike ill give ya the engine half off just for the cause, if it will work, engine probably wont fit, even the one thats in there is configured to lay down, butone of those greenhuman 200's could work
