Seems like every 2 stroke that I have is hard as hell to start below 50 degrees F.....my Tri-Moto, my kids' bikes......is that just the way it is, or am I mixing the gas too heavy?

I think they're tougher to start when it's cold. I had to pull start my R this winter; in warm weather it pops on a couple of kicks.

3rd kick usually for my R. When i had it mixed richer (32:1) it hated cold starting but it loves 40:1

I dunno, I had an old junker YZ85 that would start in 10 or 15 degree weather with the choke on in a few kicks.

What's the best way to get a good 40:1 mix?
