Not sure if it's right or wrong, but mine has one spring/clip thing that is a pain in the rear to get installed right. Once I get it though, it holds great. I really hate the design myself, if that is indeed how it is supposed to be.

any idea where i could get this elusive spring/clip thing?
surely someone has a busted up headlight??
what about making it work without the thing? Anyone have ideas how to make it work and still look good?
thanks

Jef, It shows pictures of the "2" springs on the bike bandit 1984 atc250r headlight page. Try finding the honda number at the website I gave you already. I thing the springs are #3 on the headlight page. Just take the number and call a couple of local honda dealerships. If your ordered 2 of them and paid by credit card and had them shipped to you it probably wouldn't cost much. You better get 3 or 4 though. You'll probably throw them in the screws bucket and they'll be lost forever too! HaHaHaHa!!!!

The Honda part number of the holders (one on each side) is 33102-964-003, unfortunately though they are no longer available from Honda.
Puch mopeds use a very similar device to hold the headlamp housings in place.
