YTM 200k re-assembly... quite a learning experience.
fixed exhaust, clutches, sprocket, chain blast and paint everything, clean, strip paint off plastics and re-do, re-cover seat, new clutch and stator cover screws... etc...

Very nice Jagerlager! It is nice to see a hardtail cleaned up like that. Did you have to buy many parts for it? How did you clean the bare aluminum case halves?

thanks man! I only needed a chain , sprocket, grips, and some thick vinyl for the seat. everything else has just been clean and re-newed. bought this thing for fifty bucks two years ago. just needed some tlc. the case halves were gone after with a small dremmel wire wheel and scotch brite pads. everything else I blasted and painted. I scraped all the bad off the plastics by back blading with a razor blade, and wet sanding... layers of paint on this and massive oxidation. cleaning the carb very thoroughly, working a bit on the clutches, and a new chain and sprocket(front) did the trick... the motor doesnt smoke at all and has good snort.
