Allright, getting my tri-z put back together and want some help reccomending a carb. They come with 32mm Mikuni's stock, right? And i've heard of using a carb of a 250R. What brand/size carbs are stock on the 250R? Should I stick with 32mm or go with 34mm ir 35mm? It's basically a stock set up but with an open air filter. Any reccomendation for jet size other than a little test and tune? Any other carbs I need to look at? Was thinking mikuni flat slide, they are cheaper than the PJ or PWK carbs, or should I go with those? Anyways, any input is appreciated, thanks

what year is your Tri-Z? i'd say 35mm, but it all depends on what you have on it right now, the year should help!

Ive heard a lot about 38 or 39mm. Ive been told thats the way to go if your going to replace.

Find a used one on ebay, and get a rebuild kit for it. Will be much cheaper in the end.

so if i go with something as big as q 38 or 39 mm, it won't be over-carburating it? will i have any low end power left? I'm going to be doing alot of riding on our fields around here but want to do a little trail time. And keep in mind i still have the stock pipe and silencer

38 will be fine no low end loss.. personally I think they sould have came with them ,,,,They just flat out rip when they can finally breathe! and running the stock pipe is ok but I would look into a silencer.

anything else i should look into?

Do you want to look into some power reeds? Thats another mod you can perform cheaply and easily.

yeah REEDS make a world of difference!!!! and along with a carb and silencer, you will notice a huge gain!!! you are going to need some main jets too!!!

Boyessen power or pro, but if it already has new reeds then wait untill they are wornout.....
when you take your carb out, take the air box off too and look down the throught, if the reeds aren't steel, and they're 2 stage fiberglass or simillar, then they are probly Boyessen
