I picked up what I can identify as being a DG Sunburst head that was on a 1978 YZ125, and had thought of putting it on my YT125 Tri-Moto, but what, if any performance gains would I realize, aside from better cooling due to the larger heatsinks?

You would have to check the dome area inside the head. If it is smaller, than it would boost the compression up. Exactly how much, I don't know. I'm sure there is a formula to figure out the compression ratio. Or try and find out what the stock compression ratio is for a yz125. I guess it would depend on the top of the piston and what thickness gasket also. If your not going to use it, let me know and I would see about buying it from you. I think you would really have to use a better exhaust pipe and carb for the head to really work to it's full advantage. Pipes for the yt125 are really hard to find.
