How long have you owned your trike(ATC)?

Just wanted to see how many long term owners we have here.
I bought mine in late 91, and still have it. Almost 16 years.
For me that puts me owning it my junior high school year........I'm 33 now.
I'm getting it back in shape again......actually better than it was when I bought it.
I'm not looking for original owners.......already a thread for that.
I just wanted to see how many long term owners are here on the board, and how long they have owned their trikes.

im not a long term but still a loyal triker. i got mine 2 years ago this fall. ive bin building it up slowly. ive done allot to it as some people here can tell you. here are a couple before and present pictures.

Going on a year now,had ridden and wanted one for years but it never happened until last spring!
Now I have bought 3 and still looking at a couple more projects when the weather gets better,like a potato chip,cant have just one ;)

lol my air fooler, i've had for 3 years this July....but it runs and looks twice as good as when i bought it!!! and because of this trike, i have mains from 128 to 172 but theres about 4 or 5 missing....i have learned quite a bit about jetting because of this trike...........i LUV it!!!!!lol

got the 70 when i was about seven...im 21 now....had a 200s in 99...but it got stolen....got my 350x in 04....tri-z in 05...as well as the 250sx

A phone call to the dealer and a credit card deposit of $500 placed the order of my 85 250R in August of 1984 and I picked it up in October of 84 for a grand total of $2400 out the door. That was almost 23 years ago when I was just a young buck. The first pic is circa 1985 and the 2nd is my R in it's current state of shock.

I'll also add that my Dad is the original owner of a 1978 ATC 90 and an 1984 ATC 110 and both are currently stored in his garage rotting away. One of these days they'll both be restored.

i bought my 85 350X in june of 2006 and just recently bought my 84 250R in March 2007. havnt had em long buy ive always liked them and had family and friends with them so ive been on them for a while, just finally starting to get my "trike family" started enjoy.

i'm 15 now... got the 110 when i was about 7 or 8... my brother rode the 125m until he moved on to my dads 200x and i rode the 125 from 10-14, then got the 200x ~last october-november... been riding it ever since... got it titled and all....

Lookin good Sandman. Nice to see you still enjoy your R all of these years later. Nothing like riding in sand for speed and ease of cleaning. Looks like you keep it nice and fresh.

I just got my '84 R in December. I've always liked three wheelers, but never got serious about getting one, until one of my friends on here kept telling me how great they were. So I started watching ebay, but for a long time nothing showed up in my area. Then I saw this old airfooler that was only 45 minutes away from home, the description said it needed a topend and a few other things but was in overall good condition. Well, the more I've tore into the thing the more problems I've found :( It's turned into a complete rebuild. But, I guess I just saved another trike from the scrapyard :crazy: Hopefully it turns out good when I finish.

I'm kinda new to 3 wheelers even though to most of you I'm an old fart. About a year ago I bought a 200es then in late December I bought a 250sx then Monday I saw a 250r sitting along the road and on Tuesday the guy called me and said he would take $250 for it. Well I got the cash and bought that one as well. My garage is now at near overflow stage and I just know that if I see another good deal I'm in trouble.
Are there any groups like AA or something to help with my new spending problem? It seems that every time I leave the house I'm on the lookout for more trikes. When I get on the web I'm always looking for trikes. I have all my friends and family looking for trikes. I really think I have a problem :)

i had a mint 70 and a beater 90 in 1990. sold the 90 and traded the 70 for a basket case 200x. Fixed the 200x rode it a summer. clutch basket broke in 93.

Picked up almost mint 350x and 200x in 1993.
sold the beater 200x.

My 83 200x I got around 1985. The 82 185s that I sold I got in 84.

The rest I have picked up in the last 10 years.

Got my 83 250R in 83. Raced it for 2 years then shoehorned a CR500R engine in it , stretched it a little and turned it into strictly a duner. Put it into mothballs back in about 87,88 and now just about got it all put back together again. Picking up an 85 350X in a week or two...

I am not sire when I got my 85:110, I think it was 1987. I had a 200ATC for a bunch of years back then, but trashed it, and didn't bother to fix it.
I finally this year got a 200X, and a 250R. The 250 is being rebuilt.

I bought my '85 200x very slightly used in June of '85...first owner had ridden it twice and broke an arm or something. Anyway, I raced it local until the 87 season ended, then rode it on and off until 96 when I left my brother take it. (Big mistake)
In July I found it under a tarp at camp! I brought it home and have been fixing it up since. Since July I've rekindled my love of ATC's, I rescued an 85 ATC70, got it running and cleaned up. Now she's my riding buddy. Then we rescued a '79 110, needs a TON of work/ parts. My first was in 93, an 83 BR. 2nd was a gift from a GF in 02, a 84 200s. I bought my 84 BR in 06 from a site member that had it listed on ebay. Have all except for a 200 i bought in 04 that i sold in oct 07 to a board member in pieces.

Been in the trike field for 14 years, my mom wouldn't let me have a dirtbike bc they were to dangerous but didn't flinch at buying me a trike, and no, that doesn't make sense.
