When I took the stator out of Honda ATC200 1983, I noticed that my tensioner is shot. I have ordered a new one from Hyperparts. When I took out the left side chain guide, there's a lot of play with the chain. I have a feeling that the tensioner side is also gone. How sloppy is the chain prior to installing a new tensioner. I ordered a new timing chain anyways. I also notice there is a chain devider above the lower gear, and it is half eaten away. What is the easiest way to replace a timing chain? Do I need to disassemble the top end apart, or can I just take apart the pulse generator assembly and fish the chain up from the bottom. Do I need to redo the timing after installing a new chain, or if marking its original location work without retiming with the new chain? Any other things I should be aware of before I attempt to do this:wondering
