I will soon be in the market for a new rear axle for my 86 R.
I just wanted to get some input on what would be the best for the buck in a +4, or adjustable replacement.
I am also stuck on what carrier to use, though I assume the tapered bearing carriers to be better.
The main use of the trike will be trail riding, and ice-racing.
There seems to be quite a few choices out there yet for rear axles, and carriers, which makes deciding one hard to do.
Any opinions from those that have used any would be greatly appreciated.:D

I've got a Durablue. You hear some bad things about them(Durabreak), but mines held up well. I've landed hard enough to flatspot all four lips of both rear wheels at once and the axle came through fine.

My axle issue is solved......I have a Dominator axle on it's way.
Now I'm debating on the carrier.
Double-row, or Tapered........I'm thinking tapered.

Double row never lasted any longer than stock for me,(lots of mud riding) and it was harder to find replacement bearings. Go tapered
