Hello Fellas,
I bought a chrome master cylinder guard for my '86 350x and went to put it on but I'm not sure I have it right. The way I ass-u-me it goes on would require me to remove that rubber boot that hides the bolts. Anyone have a picture of one on or some advice. Thanks

I have a 350 with rubber boot and a guard. I assume the person took the boot off, put the guard on, then reinstalled the boot. The boot does stick up now and its kinda ugly, but I think its worth it to have a guard over the master cyclinder.

Thanks for the help. That boot did look ugly so I did a little modification to make it look better. I cut a slit in the boot and installed the guard. Then I cut a plug out of black vinyl base to cover the bolt. Here is a pic. Thanks again!

Yes you remove that rubber boot and use the bolt that holds the lever in place to retain that end of the guard, then stretch the boot over...
