my kickstarter on my 200x will not comeback up when i kick it, but it does turn the motor over... i dont think it is the return spring, but i did loosen a bolt on the motor that has something to do with the kickstarter...

it bin 20 years or so since i messed with a 200x but i think you have to split the case to hook the return spring up (thinking back 20 years)

yep what he said, its not a pain in the but but if you've never split the cases on one before it can be scary to say the least, I have another bottom end with a good spring and I jsut dont feal like messing with it, thats why mine is still broken.

If it's an 86/87 it's a piece of cake just behind the clutch cover.

If it's an 83 to 85 your screeewed...... LOL, J/K but I hope you can split cases and get all the 100 pieces back in there correctly. Good luck.

No matter what it is, The top end has to come off and then the lower end has to be split to fix. Getting good parts will be the next problem....
