Hi all,
Just new to the site and this is my second post. I have a 200s that I think needs to be rebuilt and I have access to a 185s motor. I was thinking of putting the 185s motor into the frame while the 200s was being rebuilt. Then I started wondering what are the differences between the two motor? Are the internals all the same except for the piston, the cylinder, and the heads? Any help would be appreciated because I was thinking that I could possibly make the 185s into a 200s with the proper cylinder and piston and stuff?????????

So what you are saying is that I could actually rebuild the 185s and make it a 200s? What are the exact differences? Is it really just the piston, cylinder and the head? See I have had a few Harley Davidson sportsters over the years and all you have to do to a 883cc sportster motor to make it a 1200cc is bore the heads and change the pistons! Is this the same thing with the 185s and the 200s?

Also I tryed the same thing that you're doing. The 185s motor will fit in there perfectly, it's just that the top mount you will need to cut off or bang to the side with a hammer.
