mystery lever thing

on my 85 200es super red there is this little knob thing underneath and a bit to the left of the pull start it looks like a mini gear shift shaft???????

does anyone know what this is???????

if so wha tdoes it do??????

that aint the reverse selector is it? Not sure if that bike has reverse or not.

could it be the shaft for the gear indicator. my 200s has an indicator on it in the place that you are describing. you may be missing the plastic knob that is supposed to be on it

yep, I think gear indicator, my 200s has that.

if it is splined, and has a little spot for the circlip, then that is where the gear selector goes. you can find em at dealers.

yeh thanks guys. it has hi low and reverse. yep its a gear indicator im pretty sure cause it has the hi low reverse shifter ontop of the gearbox on the other side. how much do those gear indicators cost anyway
