I have a really rare piece that has tons of different colored layers of spray bomb....spray bomb over vinyl letters, you know all the fun stuff. Anyway to safely strip it as most paint strips are for metal surfaces or do I need to suck it up and wet sand for 3 days??

YEP!! I worked for a vete shop for a while as the ONLY body man, and I stripped every vete there before working on the body, but we used regular air craft stripper, but just to let you know the fiber glass on a vete is much differnt than the fiberglass fenders you have, goto the local paint shop and ask for urathane bumper stripper, its not as powerfull as aircraft stripper but it wont harm the underlying fiberglass either, and if your a hard core nutcase like me, dont wear any gloves!

Look for a soda blaster in your area, I just had some parts done and he had a vette in there that had just been done. The soda took all the paint off and left the jel coat. The vette had multiple layers of paint and it took it all off and it was smooth jel coat when he was finished. They can spray soda at very low pressure and it still works unlike sand or glass bead. Heres a couple before and after pics of some steel and aluminum parts.
