Check your compression.
Make sure your air filter is clean and tight.
Sounds like you have an air leak somewhere.
Does it bog or sputter, or just die out?

good way to check compression- runs good cold, but runs crap hot, no matter the carb settings

good way to check air leak- when you rev it up,it will stay at a high idle, and then eventually slow down

i would say that you need to check your fuel filter, or see if the floats are working properly. try a new plug, or your air filter could be clogged

it has plenty of compression cause its a fresh top end
i can set there and let it idle for 20-30 seconds and i can go full throttle all day long on it
i stop and i dont let it set this time and it will cut out at higher rpm's
ive adjusted the carb at 1 turns, 1quater trun
1 1/2 turns, 1 3/4 trun, and 2 turns
all by the book
i dont have air leak
new air filter
then one of you guys said something abouit the floats
the books says to set the floats by setting down or up each notch
there is nothin like that in the carb
i dont know
im tired of screwing with it

Check your float level tube that goes from the bowl of the carb to the frame to see if it's holding the right level after you give it good run like your saying. It's the one that has that oneway valve in it. If it's too low you must have a restriction somewhere from the tank to the carb. needle and seat.

Sounds carb related.

Might be a good idea to rebuild the carb. New needle, jets, the works. Probably hasn't been rebuilt since the the bike was new right?
Rebuild kits are cheap, around $20.
