Does anyone have a picture of a stock 1986 200x throttle cable? I have a twist throttle and the cable snapped today, so i dont know if I should order a stock one or a universal, since one end has a ball and the other has a little crimped piece for the carb slide. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!:wondering

Mine's a 81 185S and the thumb throttle turned out to be around $100. So, I got a cheapy $40 twist. It used the same cable with a large barrel end on the throttle and a small cylinder on the carb. It fit the bike but I think I hate it though. Seemed like a good idea at the time. The end of the cable was listed in the book as fitting so I got it. Your cable should still be available as stock so long as the grip isn't off of something else.
I knew a guy who walked into an autoparts store looking for an alternator bracket for a ford van. They brought him EVERY single model from '73 on up and he insisted they were not it. It took 35 minutes for his friend to finally get fed up and say: "hey, why don't you tell him you took the engine out of the Buick?!" "no, but its for the ford." Guess what? It turned out to be for an '87 buick. Fit right the first time.
