I need to know what all shocks from different machines will fit a tri-z. I snapped my white brothers shock in half down at little sahara yesterday:( Space is not a problem, I run a clamp on filter and a top mount gas tank. I do not want a really really long shock and make the bike sit bad. Neways a really quick reply would be helpful!

Banshee is the way to go.

pretty shure a raptor will give you a plus one,,, if space is not a problem run a banshee shock, and a warrior is a direct bolt in NO MODS

Banshee or Warrior are same length as Z, and both are a little heavier sprung. Raptor raises rear seat height substantially, and causes your chain to burn a hole in the swingarm pivot without running giant sprockets.

Just what I wanted to hear! I appreciate the extremely quick reply!

tim did you try a raptor shock if so what was it from?

tri z 13.50"
warrior 13.63"
raptor 350 13.63"
banshee 13.63" stadium 14.75"
raptor 660 14.38"
raptor 700 15.13"

the raptor 660 is less than a inch longer than a warrior/banshee

I used an 01 660 Raptor shock with 13/44 sprockets. I ran one harescramble with it. Rode nice going straight and jumping, much better than the Warrior shock, but was way too high for cornering, and by the end of the race, the chain had toasted the plastic swingarm guard. Its about the same length as a 250x/300EX shock. You have to remember that with a shock linkage system, that mere 1" of shock length = several inches of seat height. The Works shock I use now is about 1/2" longer, and its way too much, but theres not a lot of better choices. The shape and direction of the shock assembly linkage and gas tank doesnt offer the possibility of a lot height adjustments with other linkage sizes either.
