Finally broke down my old rims and tires and mounted them on these itps. Then they woundn't bolt up. I had to go to the local used store and got a set of 84
250r hubs for $90 canadian. Sounds expensive to me but I needed them none the less.

Question. The front axle nut is missing. Anyone know the size nut I need. No big deal I will just take the front axle with me to match it up but just figured I would ask.

Now I gotta start tearing down the motor to replace the connecting rod, crank bearings and seals. Bad part : PO welded the gear shifter on.

you sure that's a '84. it looks like an '81 to me ( drum brakes) did the previous owner do some frankenstein to it or what?

That is 100% an 81. The drum brake is a dead give away but the frame, tank, swinger etc. are all 81. On a side note the forks are on backwards. The 81 is a trailing axle bike.

This is an 81 guys. lol. The rear hubs are the only 84 parts on it. But are the front forks reversed?

Here's how the forks are supposed to look.

Thanks 200xman. I will have to fix that. I was totally unaware of this.

No problem. If you need a rear fender, try Maier. If memory serves me I shopped around and got mine for $90.
