Hey guys I just wanted to get your opinion on putting this size tire on my 250sx. The reason I ask is I just found a pair tonight of the wooley boogers with rims in almost new condition for $45.00 thats 2 tires and 2 rims which he said he had on his 85 350x for $45.00!! I hate to pass it up for that price but they wont do me nay good if they wont be a good fit for my rig.
Tell me what ya think, I have til tomorrow to decide lol.

I would not go that large Booyaa and even if you would , make darn sure that the bell cavity of 9" rim is large enough to except the brake drum.
I think 25's would rub the fenders quite a bit also?

not to mention they would look silly with a 22x11x9 on the front.
Oh... 350x rims wont clear the drum. ;)

Really?? because he has another set of 22x11x9 in a viper style (not sure who makes them) but they have 90% tread left he said he would let me have for $25.00 with rims and I looked up the 350x and it says its the same rim as the 250sx???? or so i thougt...

It might be the same bolt pattern... but it's not a large bell style rim. Trust me when I tell you. I bought a set of aluminum 9 inch 400ex rims (4/110) thinking they would fit and it wasn't even close. let me see if I can find a pic.
here's the thread..

WOW, thanks Chris!! even though its not alot of money I would have been bummed. That truly sux, but just my luck, it seems every time i find a great deal one way or another it turns to crap lol.
I think im gonna buy them anyway just because Im sure I could get double my investment back off ebay.
Thanks again

Those Vipes are Kendas and are small for being 22X11X8's.
The dillrods at Kenda must use a different tape measure or something :wondering

Good point. Measure the inside of the rims. they have to allow the drum to fit.
I found some old Douglas/Mitchell that work well on the SX.
I only use this turf tamer/10 inch combo on the rare occasion I run at a track, thats why they're all beat up.

So I found another set of rims, these are off an 86 250 big red and are the 9 inch rims. Would these fit my 250sx? If so I could just put the vipers on these rims and sell the 350x rims to make my money back :-)

The 86 BR rims should work. I think they are the same bolt pattern. ??? I'm certian they have a rear brake drum though so you'll have no clearance issues there. :)
Maybe some one is 100% sure about the bolt pattern? I just don't want you going through the same mess I did with diffrent rims!

Well i looked up the bolt pattern and they are the same, and if you know they have the same style brake drum. Then by god they should fit??? lol I really hate being a noob at the whole trike thing.
BTW, I bought those Vipers and wow you guys wernt kidding....what tape are they using to come up with 22" lol they look tiny next to my mud lites.
