ok heres the deal, i just bought a dg complete exhaust for my 350x. i currently run a uni foam air filter on it with no holes cut in the air box. now i know noone can really tel me exactly what jets to use but i need to rebuild my carb anyway so im gonna install the stock jets which are 138 main and 42 slow and the needle on the 3 notch. and go from there, i am thinking bout buying a set of jets from jets r us the mains i was ganna get were the 142 145 148 150 and for the slow jets i was ganna get a 45 48 and 50. am i goin about this the correct way, or will i have to jet that much with the mods i have? i live at about 1000 ft elevation so this may help anyone trying to help. please reply asap i need to get jets ordered if i need them.

thanks guys

I would start with a 142-145 (with your lid on) and go from there. I think you will be pretty close to that with your main, with minor tweaking elsewhere...

Dammit!

try it with the needle in the 2nd position-
remember you will have less backpressure with the aftermarket exhaust
4 strokers are usually lean-
richer pilot = easier starting- unless you flood the bike-lol
check the plug,

ok thanks, heres the next question, when you say needle in the 2nd position, what notch on the needle is postion 1? the notch at the top of the needle or the bottom???

It should be the second position closest to the base of the needle (or where it comes from the carb). Hope that makes sense, if not ill have to draw a picture in paintshop lol.
