WELL if you can run across the factory hondaline 300 kit they had a slightly larger carb so the intake was slightly larger, but thats a rare find

What makes you say that it uses a larger one? The 300 kits uses the same stock carb as far as I know. :wondering

I might have a larger one, I'll check.

if you have 1 and its good just use it ..take the intake you have ( if you have 1 ) and boil it ..take it out or the water , put a glove on and then just work it onto the carb and let it cool on its own ..it will work just fine just make sure its plenty hot so it will stretct and not tear ( never torn 1 ) ..i have done this several times and it works great ...good luck !

yes, i've used that tecnique many, many times on my TRX but, i dont think this will work. i dont know what size the stock carb is for the '84 but, i wanna go to atleast a 34mm and i'm thinking the stock boot wont allow for this.

negative captain, a true complete 300 kit came with a larger carb setup, most people are unluck enough the the whole setup, mine is original and has the larger carb on it.

thats just it...... i need to retain the original profile of the induction system, including the air box. this machine will see extreme wet conditions and i need to hook things up as they were from the factory. the 85/86 atc and the 86-89 trx intake (oem and other) are all slightly angled to the left and wont lineup as it should. :(

I have one that I used when I went to a 34mm, and it fits up great. The one I have actually will allow a larger carb, but it tightens up just fine on my new carb.
