250r pipe question

i have a 81 250r with stock pipe and muffler. would like to know if its possible for a newer pipe to fit. because the 81 pipe is on the left side where the 83-86 is on the right side.

The mugen i can safely say are way better then stock but thats all i know. I dont think they make a pt for the 81R??? Are you sure it will fit?

they dont fit an 81 but i was hoping i could custom fit it on if its possible.
probably move the shock canaster and make new mounts??????

To make it go right side instead of left side, well im sure you could do it but im sure theres more to it then new mounts. The flange will probably be wrong size, you will run into other fitting problems, but hey if ya want go for it it can be done.

You can ask Paul Turner if they still have their old jig. They used to make aircooled pipes for the older trikes. Won't hurt to ask!

I see some pop up on ebay from time to time. I'll ask the guys over on the airfoolers forum if anyone has a lead on one.
