200X / 250R triple tree swap???

Will '85 250R triples interchange with '83 - '85 200X?

200X triples have 7 degrees rake in them. From what I could tell '85 250R's have 6 degrees rake. Will they swap? I want to put a '85 R front end on a '85 200X.

The neck stem will fit the frame, but the forks for the 250r are wider in diameter by a few milimeters so if you do the swap you will need to swap the forks also. Please correct me if I am wrong. Its been awhile.

Thats great to find out, for once I didnt get rid of something cheap and find out I could have used it. I have a 85 200X front end with wheel, I just bought a 86 250R. so now I have a spare. Jim

you know that 83-85 200x/83-84 250r had different front pattern front wheels than 86/87 200x, 85-86 250r/350x, right???

I know that. I'll be putting the whole '85 front end on the 200X, wheel, axle, brakes, forks and triples.
