Hello all, im new the forums here. I check in once in awhile and do some searches when I am in a bind. But I cant seem to get good enough info for my problem.

I'm restoring my '85 70, ive got new stickers, fenders, tires, bearings, rebuilding the motor. I need to know what color the tank and forks were painted and the color for the motor and rims. Im sure the engine probably has to be high temp. I have searched before for paint codes and this one guy had a huge list but i cannot find the code he had. Maybe im not lookin in the right places ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jimmy

I dunno about the thread your looking for but of all the 70s I have painted, i have never used high temp paint on the engine. My opinion is that they just dont get hot enough to burn it off. This is when my son is putting around the yard or when Im "racing" it around all afternoon.

alright.. i the only reason i asked is for around the cylinder area. The part that is painted black would probably be the only thing to be worried about getting "hot"

Thanks for replying though
