probably some sort of fiberglass resin to repair boats, or for plastic. I heard of it done before

I think any auto body shop has it or could get it. If you do it right and can find the same color paint you really wont be able to notice it. My front fender on my 200x is repaired with fiber glass and you cant even see the cracks.

plastic weld it using some old busted up fenders for filler, build it up high, sand it down, buff it, and you'll never know its there!

Use real high tensile fishing line, AND drill a small hole at the end of the crack so it doest go any farther!

why not zip ties? what wrong with that? thats what i used on the read fenders i bought off ebay for 9.99. as long is it holds it together who cares what it looks like as long as its "respectable". i could see if you were doing a total restoration.

heres my fix....
a roll of boondoggle, about $4.00 per roll and you can color match your fenders to make them blend nicely (click to enlarge pictures)

as you can see from the pic above, the stitching blends well!

the black that you can see in this picture is only from where I used a marker to space my holes

i was planning on getting a plastic welding kit with red poly filler. it should work good. I was going to grind the crack down about half way through so i had a "V" shape to it, then use the rod as filler to ensure it sealed up relaly well. Yea and drill a hole at each end of the crack to ensure it doesn't spread.

on th ebottom side, you could even heat the plastic and shove steel mesh in the plastic on the bottom is it helps kepe it srtong and you can't see it from the top,

Howdy taught me the fishing line trick and it looks pretty ok by me. I'd love to plastic weld but I haven't heard very many sucess stories in all the years I've browsed the forums....

By Maier and forget those beautiful OEM jobberes ever existed. It's just too much money and too painful for us regular guys to deal with.....
