Wow, I started riding 3 wheelers years ago on new 1975 atc 90 I got for christmass.I had worked my way up to 4 trikes when last week I purchased a 1985 250r. This thing is insainly fast, yet with a suspension that does not beat me to death. What a machine!

Actually I bought it that way. The previous owner said he bought it from someone who posts on this board, that had set it up for the flat track. It did come with a #17 plate and extra rear# 17 fender with blue ATC seat.

Before I bought my 85 R I thought, "What's all the hype about?" Then, I took my first ride...unbelievable even in stock form. Simply one of the best machines ever made -- past, present, and future!

I just got a 86 250R last week, I agree 100% the thing scares the sh!t out of me, call me a woose, but Im thinking of trading down to a 200X. something 4 stroke to putt around with. No offense to 200X owners. I just sold a real nice one in november and kind of kicking myself for getting rid of it. Turned up for sale 2 months later for 500 bucks, when I finally convinced myself to buy it again. it was already sold.

ScottZJ built that bike. He posted pics along the way and completed pictures. Do a search and you can find out what he did.

Thats a nice 250r there. I had my first 250r waterpumper last year and theres nothing like holding it wide open for a few seconds while going through the gears. They are fast as hell, but I sold it and had to go back to the 350x. Just gas n go with a four stroke. Jimmac I would go for a 350x. Theres no commitment to have it wide open for power and the top ends last years longer the a 2stroke. The power is all in the low rpms. The 350x is just a bigger version of the 200x. I think once you got use to a 200x, then rode a 350x you would like the 350x more.

It was great, the drag strip was very cool. I managed to beat a raptor 660 ( he had trouble off the line, and was coming up fast) but a win none the less!! I also like mx track #5. I had to sneak on because I do not have the MX gear yet. Just great fun.

Well, I am crazy about my 250r & would not ever get rid of i it ...barring some hardship, It doesn't scare me. The scare limiter is connected to your thumb when your riding...lol

I guess I should just take it out and ride it, I got the plate for it last week, I go through stuff so fast I always regret it afterwards. Jim

Yeah that is my old 250r I built, flattracker. It had the duro blue tires on it with a number plate and the other seat. Its good to see that the R has gone to yet another good home. Let me know if you have anymore questions about it. The swinger is a +1 and have a +4 dura blue axle on the rear.
