Not sure what the problem could be, but my lights dont work on my Z. Was like that when I bought it. Think he said it had something to do with something behind the flywheel. Runs fine. Anything would help. Thanks.

lighting coil is bad i would guess

lighting coil could be bad you can check it with a meter it's the yellow/red wire and the black, test it at the connector it should be .58ohms or around 8.5 volts at idle 1,500 rpm
Are all the bulbs blown?It could be that the voltage regulator failed,or came unplugged and blew the bulbs out.The voltage regulator is located at the front of the bike behind the right side radiator shroud.Silver box with one blue wire.Banshee and blaster voltage regulators will work on the Tri-z if yours is bad.

Just wondering where I might find a new or working lighting coil. Never see it listed on ebay. Does it come mounted on another piece? And how hard is it to change out? Thanks again!
