Hey guys if everything works out im going tomorrow to pick up a mint condition 1987 250R. Old man my dad works with says he has had it in his heated barn for the past 15 years. There is not a ding or scratch on it and it only has about 10 hours on it. He bought it then realized a 2 stoke isnt much of a yard work machine so he parked it and bought a 4 wheeler. Anyways my dad told me about it i was shocked on the year he double checked and its an 87 and he even has a title. Kicker here is $750 and its mine! :-D Just thought id share my excitment.

We've heard this before... '87 TRX 250r's were very common.

Why would an old man even have a TRX250R? He doesn't havea 87 ATC250R.

I will believe it when I see it or pictures of it.

I am only 2-3 hrs away ( South ) and could drive up there to see it in person.

It'll probably end up being a left over new 1986 purchased in 1987. but who cares, for $750 you can't beat that! Congrats, whether 86 or 87 3 wheeler OR 4 wheeler it's a great find! :-D

HondaATC, didn't you get your 86 TRX'R from an some old man? ;)

For some reason I can't believe all the times you see ads for stuff that was "stored in a heated barn for xx years". I mean, I live in Halifax, and I've been in a few barns, and I've never been in a heated one. I do know there are a few, but not very common, at least around here.

Anyway great find!!!

Why would you store a 3wheeler in a poll barn?

I have seen a heated barn though.

Some carpenter who lives nearby turned the hayloft in his barn into a woodworking shop and a game room. But you can hardly call that place a barn anymore.

I can remember pulling straw bales out of that barn and thinking "this guy has a lot of work ahead of him" but now it is done.
