Anyone know what they are or how they work? I have heard about these in dirtwheels but I have no clue what they are other than that they are supposed to help you finish a race with a punctured tire. I know they are very expensive. Anyone running them? Thanks

the only balls i've heard of are the ones that naturally form inside the tubeless tires from years of rotation...you can hear them roll around inside the tire when you take one off and shake it. to me its a good way of tell if the treads are originals or replacements....:welcome: :postwhore

I think they are kinda pricey. What they are is individually filled air "balls" inside the tire. If one gets punctured, the others keep the tire rolling and on the wheel, allowing the racer to make it to the finish without changing tires. Sound like a great concept, but probably not worth it unless you race off-road and have to get to the next check point...

They are different size inflatable "balls" they look more like bags, that go inside your tires, usually 12 per tire. At a cost of about 250.00 per wheel.
you inflate the bags and stuff them in your tire, then stuff your tire over the rim.
its hard to do unless you have beadlocks.
they work great, my brother had a 2 inch gash in his rear tire after racing the Wisp GNCC and didnt even know the tire was punctured.

i run them and swear by them in my yfz that i race gncc.. i have been using them for 3 seasons now.. and they only make you ride faster! no worries about flats.. ever! throw them on a set of hipers and you will live forever! 100% worth it. I use to go threw 3-4 tires in a weekend, from sidewall cuts, now i actually wear out tires! if you race or plan on racing gncc, get them!
