I got thinking about the lack of decent trikes turning up here in blighty and started wondering about importing some. In particular a tecate or something. has anyone done this from Usa before? I've just emailed a few companies that do this sort of thing. What would a tecate be worth in this country in decent shape? I am seriously considering it, but it would have to add up financially. Any input greatly appreciated.

it all depends on location and how many of what is in your location. if you are the only one with one then you can basically put any price on it as long as someone is willing to pay it.

It also depends on what year of Tecate.
When it comes down to it, once your cruising through the fields in Wales, you'll forget all about how much it cost you.

Hey atc110RED,
Am importing a 2006 trx 450eR from Alabama - Aberdeen give me 2 weeks and i'll have all the info you need!. in the short term i recommend you find a contact in the states, to handle picking up/accepting delivery of your trike, handle money, checking the bike over ect..........

Cheers for the info guys. I'd be buying to ride, but eventually sell. 250rfan i'd be keen to hear how it goes importing your trx, costs, paperwork, timescales companies etc. i agree with needing a 'partner' in US, would make it a lot easier to do. thanks again people.

I used an Australian shipping guy to import 4 Honda Pilots from the US to Oz it has to be someone you can trust or it can get out of shape real quick when money is involved.

I don't know about whole machines. But, I haven't had good luck shipping parts to even Canada through FEDEX - I was actually backcharged someones duty fees etc as FEDEX's policy is to charge the account holder if the recipient doesn't pay.
I have had no problem shipping parts with the USPS.
