What are my options for an exhaust on my 83 200x?

I think for new its only cobra and DG, i dont know how they are, everyone says they dont like them but I think there fine. If your going for appearance, dont get the cobra megaphone, the paint flakes off and starts to rust in one ride. I really dont dont know much about DG, but the cobras are preety dang loud, idk you could try to look for a used supertrapp, thats what I run on mine, or try to find a bassanni, I hear they are really nice

i have a "coffman's" exhaust. i have no idea what it is, and i have never heard of another one. but it is pretty dang loud.

I bought the Cobra aluminum series from THUMPERTALK, vry nice fit/finish and won't rust. It was 150.71$ shipped and it let me yank the airbox lid off and increase the jet sizes.

It is VERY VERY loud though. Supertrapp is the best choice out there but hard to find. Maybe we should email them and try to get things going... There in buisness aren't they?? Everytime someone posts about an exhaust, alot of posters refer to the Supertrapp as there favorite....

I believe the DG chrome is still available for the 200x. I bought mine used for around $75. New I think they are quite pricey but they look good and give it a nice throaty sound. :naughty:

Has anyone tried the xcellerator exhaust from DG?

I know for a fact the dg is alot louder than a cobra megaphone. The dg has a lot bigger core and it is alot deeper and louder. My cobra i got for 99.00 is good enough for me. It sounds pretty good but the paint on the header is just sprayed on without care. It bubbles up and burns off after one ride. I stripped the paint off right away and gave it some grill paint. Its fine now but cobra really needs some better paint..
