Ok...heading out to look a decent YTM125 this week. The guy only wants $125 for it. Doesn't run, but the guy sounds honest and says that the only things wrong with it (besides age :)) is that the stator is bad, one tire has a slow leak, and the pull start needs new springs. He has already blocked off the oil injector -- he mixed his own gas before it stopped running.
Are parts available? I checked Maier -- no plastics from there... What about engine parts like the stator, piston, rings, etc.???
Thanks!!!

Are plastics and engine parts available anywhere? I did a quick scan around and didn't see anything other than Ebay.

once you get them running they run decent. Not to much power, but fun to mess around on. If ya get it and need some parts I have a trimoto 175 and most of the parts are interchangeable.

i had one about five years ago. it was spotless it just sat in a heated garge for a long time. when i had it it would bog in first and second because you really had to run the krap out of it to get it clean out. when you would get in 3 it would get cleaned out and run really good. it really needed a manual clucth so you could keep the rpms up.

I have a NOS Bassani pipe and a rear suspension kit for one of those. All I need to do is find a nice 125 to build!
