1. I think that these peices are normally refered to as "Dog bones". However my "dog bone" has been replaced with this thing. Can anyone Identify?? Aftermarket?? The center grip screws the two connecting ends in and out to make it longer or shorter. Whats the point. The only thing I could think it would do is raise or lower the swingarm a bit while still keeping the same shock and dampner settings.

2. Can anyone identify this swingarm, or is it a homemade project?? I think it is a +2 or +3 inches. No markings.

3. Stupid question. These spacers on the axle that sit over the splines. Were the splines built extra long on purpose so you could move the spacer to the inside or outside of the hub to adjust axle width?? Or am I just tired...

:pics:

Thanks for the help. I'm tryin to figger out what my new bike is built of.

your first picture i know exactly what it is i made one for my unlce. its just so that when ice racing or flat trackin you dont hav as much a problem with bouncing up and down while in the corner and it's much faster to raise and lower *Edited**Edited* trike.

You have a lowering link there, used for track racing to lower ride height. The spacer can go on either side of the hub to adjust axle width.

Thanks for the info guys. It makes it nice to know what equipment was put on your bike for what reason.
About the swinger, is JJ&A a good brand of swinger or...?? What does JJ&A stand for? I am going to try and do some research on this when I know enough of what to look for.
Thakns Again

I could be wrong about who made the swingarm. If you go to jjandaracing.com you will see they make parts to make swingarms like your flamed out rear tube.It was probably made somewhere else though.I didn't see complete swingarms on there. There was another site called metal tech that had swingarms like that too.

Thanks for the info. It gives me somehwere to start.
Mine has flames on the top and bottom, these are only offered on top. I'm not saying it isn't an older version of this, but it gives me a starting point to go off of.
Thanks again, atleast I'm not dead in the water now.
