Syko,

Enjoy your Big Red. I noticed at some point in time you had mentioned that you are "just not a utility Trike guy"

You will be!!!!! - I can almost bet on it! They are a blast - plus you can do work with them.

yea Im just not into the utility trikes, mainly this is another ride for my cousins to use when we ride places and I may use it around here to drag crap around and such, If I ever plan on letting it go, it will go to my neighbor who absolutly loves it! and I will get another sport trike, but until then I plan on doing this puppy up!

I have a few mins down time this afternoon and evening, I already have the carb off, and man!! the gas is SO OLD ITS GREEN!! i picked up old cars with better gas than this!! wow! so hopefully after a good carb clean and some tweaking it should be cruisin around my property today later!

well I cleaned the carb somewhat and the fuel petcock the fuel in there was so varnished that is was rock hard, I didnt get everything perfect yet, but I put it together and added some gas choked it kicked it and it fired right up! no smoke, no unuasal noises very quite, then went to go put it in gear and toted a wheelie for about 20 feet!! whoohaa!!! its still sputterning on the lower end (due to it needing a super carb clean) but other than that this thing is a TANK!! lol!! I feal like im riding a motorized lazy boy!!! lol!! it jsut goes whereever the hell you steer it to!! good times!!

WOW thats a fairly good looking BR. I could use both of mine to make one and still not have one that nice! Believe me when I say that you will like it alot. Mine are great for both work and play. Guess that kind of makes it a "sport/ute". Its too bad you dont hunt I think they look better with a little blood and gore on em!

it really has some flaws that you cant see in the pics, the front rackj is rusted away and thers a few bad spots of rust on the frame the plastic is there uncracked but fad'ed bad, im not complaining I will get it looking decent soon enough!

Syko, I wasn't a utility trike guy either, loved my 350X and 250R, but I LOVE my RED!!!! I want a couple more of em! I may have some parts if you need em.
You mentioned aggressive treads for a badass look, here are what I have on mine (ScottZJ put em on it when he owned it).

I have these on my 85 sx on 10inch rims. They look pretty bad ass and they tear up anything you want

If you want some badass tires get a set of Vampires. My friend put some on his BIG RED and it would outpull a lot of Quads in the mud. Light weight+Badazz tires equal one hell of a mud machine.

I think when I so get tires Im going to get AMS swamp fox's there super cheap and have a decent tread, I'm doing the emphasis on CHEAP! lol!! I try not to spend that much and put whatever I can into my flat tracker.

Those swamp foxes are some good tires even if they are cheap.I got some for a local farmer and they beat them everyday and they are holding up great.might not be the best for the front but an AMS fox AT might,I have them on my 110 and like them.

Must be Big Red week around here. lol I would definitely look for a cheap metal tank. They look soooo much better. I put the factory Ohtsu's on mine because I loke how they look and I just use mine for work around the yard. And if I would put big grip mud tires on it I would be tempted to tear it up. That's what my sx is for .

TAs far as I know, the electrical plug up front is for the Hondaline spotlight. I'm sure they would have made more things for it if it were not for the ban. But I think thats the only accesory that ever came about. Some people convert it to a cig lighter plug.

SYKO

so... that plug is 12 volt?? and not ac right??

jasonb01
