I'm having difficulties getting my castle nut off, so I need to get a socket to take it off. What size socket would I need?
Thank you
Ben

do you mean for the rear hubs? if that is what you are talking about it, its 27mm. A smart thing to do would be to run a die in the axle threads, that size is 20mm 1.5.

Yes for the rear hubs. So I'd buy a 27mm socket to take it off?

yea, I have cracked normal ones on hub nuts before, get one rated for impact use. I have broke hard to get off nuts by putting a large screwdriver in the sprocket or brake disc, take off the wheel, putting the socket on a breaker bar 2', put a peice of pipe over it, to extend the leverage to about 5'. This usually gets them off, if not, heat it up some, and then repeat.
